(Bilbao, 1973) I’m active, creative and dependable. I like to spend time with them and the rest of my family. Also, I’m a lover of sports, films, music and books. I’m a mother of two girls, born in 2005 and 2007. I speak Basque as a native language, am fluent in English after staying in England and Ireland, and studying at Oxford University, and have basic skills in French.
I hold a diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics (1994) and a degree in Food Science and Technology (1996) from the University of the Basque Country, a master’s degree in International Master’s Programme in Nutrition and Food Technology from Oxford Brookes University (Oxford, England), and an advanced certificate in Retail Company Management, a course taught by executives from Grupo Eroski and other leading organisations at Otalora (Mondragon, 300 training hours).

From 1998 to 2006, I worked for Grupo Eroski as quality control technician at the Consumer Department (internal auditor, consultant and person in charge of implementing the ISO 9000 quality management system in fresh food retail platforms countrywide) fruit and vegetable supply technician for the fresh food retail platform in Amorebieta, and in my last three years at Eroski I was part of the platform’s management team, leading several teams, contributing to the drafting of the EFQM report and being actively involved in everyday situations and problems.
While studying in Oxford (1997-1998), I worked in warehousing at Sainsbury’s, the second largest chain of supermarkets in the UK.
