(Sopelana, 1973). I’m determined, resourceful and committed. My deeply-rooted values guide my life and my career. I work hard every day to grow and improve, and to help build a better environment for me and the people around me. I enjoy small things – meetings with family and friends, a good book, a day in the countryside or at the beach, music, yoga, travelling to new places… I’m an active member of a large family. I’m married and have two children, born in 2006 and 2009. I’m fluent in English and Basque, my French is acceptable, and I hope to brush up my German some time in the future.

I studied Architecture for four years in Donostia-San Sebastián (1991-1995), but then I got a diploma in Tourism Companies and Activities at the University of Deusto/Rey Juan Carlos University Madrid (1998). I have an international certificate in personal and executive coaching, with specialisations in NLP, neuroscience and emotional intelligence (EFIC), value coaching, assertiveness and emotional communication (UNED), and working in teams (University of Queensland). At present, I’m studying Psychology at UNED.

Throughout my career, I’ve always been interested in reaching out to people and human relations. I have a knack for making contacts, building and strengthening collaborative networks, engaging people and getting them involved. I have leadership skills and the right amount of boldness and self-restraint to accomplish my goals and obtain the desired results.

I took my first professional steps in travel wholesalers (Panavisión Tours and Touring Club Panorama-Viajes Ecuador), where I planned group tours and was a tour guide. I was also a guide at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.

Then I moved into other industries, including engineering (Linetek, S.L.), technology (Tecnalia Corporación Tecnológica), research (CIC bioGUNE) and food (EIT Food-European Union). In all of them, I performed management tasks and acted as a liaison with other organisations, carrying out joint projects and planning events.

As a coach, I’ve worked with the professional team at 100 Montaditos in Torrelavega, Cantabria, helping couples and families solve their crises and achieve their goals. Since October 2019, I’ve been part of the parent association at Fray Juan de Zumárraga Institute, where we’ve carried out a pilot project with the help of both the students and the school staff, consisting of 15 value workshops in English for the five second-year courses.
